July 4, 1765 Thomas Whedons Deed To George Dear
To All People To Whom These Presents Shall Come, GREETING:
Know Ye, that I Thomas Whedon of Branford, in the County of New Haven and Colony of Connecticut for the consideration of thirty pounds lawful money, received to my full satisfaction of George Dear of said Branford do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto Ye said George Dear and his heirs and assigns forever a piece of land lying in said Branford at Canoe Brook (so called) near Ye dwelling house of said George Dear and contains one acre, be the same more or less, and is bounded Southerly by the Highway, Westerly by Nathaniel Whedons land and to extend as far Northerly as to Ye ditch being about twenty rods, and as far Easterly towards Timothy Plants Home lot as to leave precisely 22 1/2 foots of land, which I reserve, and said Dear to maintain Ye whole of Ye fence on Ye East line
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD Ye above granted and bargained premisses, with Ye appurtenances thereof unto him Ye said George Dear, and his heirs, and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also I, Ye said Thomas Whedon do for myself and heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with Ye said George Dear, and his heirs and assigns, that at and until the ensealing of these presents I am well seised of the premisses as a good indefeasible estate in Fee-Simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that Ye same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore I, Ye said Thomas Whedon, do by these presents bind myself and heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premisses to him the said George Dear and his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal Ye 19th day of June, in Ye 4th year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE III of Great-Britain, &c : KING, Annoque-Domini, 1764.

Abijah Norton's Deed To George Dear
To All People To Whom These Presents Shall Come, GREETING:
KNOW YE, that I Abijah Norton, of Goshen, in the County of Litchfield, and Colony of Connecticut in New England.
For the consideration of the sum of 55 pounds of lawful money, received to my full satisfaction, of George Dear, of Branford in the County of New Haven, and Colony of Connecticut, in New England.
Do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said George Dear and unto his heirs, and assigns forever a certain piece of land lying in the East part of the Town of said Goshen, containing Thirty-One Acres and 100 Rods of land. Said land lyeth on the North end of the Hill called Pond Hill. Land is bounded East on Torrington line, and South on Ebenezer Norton's land, and North on Lieut. Parmele's land, and West on Highway, together with the house and barn standing on said land.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said George Dear, and his heirs, and assigns forever to him and their own, proper use and behoof. And also I the said Abijah Norton do for myself and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said George Dear, and with his heirs and assigns, that at and until the ensealing of these presents I am well seised of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in Fee-Simple, and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever. And furthermore, I the said Abijah Norton, do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises to him the said George Dear and unto his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.
In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal the 12th day of August, in the 13th year of the reign of our sovereign lord: GEORGE III of Great-Britain, &c : KING, Anno-Domini, 1773.

George Dears Deed to Alexander Gordon
To All People To Whom These Presents Shall Come, GREETING:
Know Ye, that I George Dear of Branford, in the County of New Haven and Colony of Connecticut for the consideration of seventy pounds lawful money, received to my full satisfaction of Alexander Gordon, of said Branford do give, grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Alexander Gordon and to his heirs and assigns forever one certain lot of land situated in said Branford at Canoe Brook (so called) containing one acre and three quarters, be the same more or less and bounded South on Highway or Country road, West and North on Samuel Whedons land and East on land belonging to the heirs of Nathaniel Harrison (deceased) together with the dwelling home theron standing and also one half the well in the line between the premisses and said Samuel Whedons land.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premisses with the appurtenances therof unto him the said Alexaander Gordon, and his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own proper use and behoof, and also I the said George Dear do for myself and heirs, executors and administrators covenant with the said Alexander Gordon and his heirs and assigns forever that at and until the ensealing these presents I am well seised of the premisses as a good indefeasable estate in fee simple and have good right to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever and furthermore I the said George Dear do by these presents bind myself and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premisses to him the said Alexander Gordon and his heirs and assigns against all claims and demands whatsoever.
In witness wherof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 16th day of March, in the 14th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord, George III of Great Britain, &c : KING, Anno Domini, 1774.
