- To all her friends and loved ones: Dorothy Anne Laeger, nee Kennedy-Brigham, passed peacefully in her sleep, on the first day of spring, Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at the age of 91. She was in the presence of her family in the comfort of her own home.
She was born October 15, 1919, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Beatrice and G. Milton Kennedy.
Surviving is her only son, Dr. Erick B. Vaughters, D.D.S, of San Juan Capistrano, Calif. and his four daughters.
Dottie was a Daughter of the American Revolution, Member of the Connecticut Genealogy Society and the National Federation of Republican Women.
No memorial service is planned. She will be interned in the family plot in Chillicothe.

- July 1st has been the date chosen by Miss. Dorothy Ann Brigham, daughter of Mrs. John G. Hoke, for her marriage to Mr. E. B. Vaughters, 1729 Oakland avenue, Portsmouth.
The wedding service will be performed by the Dr. P. B. Ferris, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, at 8 p. m. at Glen Cove, the home of Miss Brigham's grandmother, Mrs. M. N. Billings. After a reception following the ceremony, the bride and bridegroom will leave for a motor trip to Iowa.
Miss Brigham, who attended the Greenbrier school at Lewisburg, W. Va. from 1934 to 1936, graduated from the Chillicothe high school in 1937. Last winter, she attended the University of California and Ben Bard's dramatic school in Los Angeles.
Mr. Vaughters is associated with the Interstate Mercantile association of Chillicothe and the Retail Merchants association, of Portsmouth, where he resides with his mother.
