- JEANETTE F. LONG
MCDERMOTT — Jeanette F. Long, 77, of McDermott, Ohio, passed away Monday June 13, 2016 at home. She was born August 1938 to the late George and Blanche Davis Mains. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Along with her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her brother, William (Janet) Mains. Jeanette was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Major Paul E. Long, Jr., her son, Edward J. (Lisa) Long of Wheelersburg and daughter, Paula F. (Steve) Strunk of Raleigh, North Carolina; five grandchildren that she adored, August Cole Long, Matthew P. Strunk, Colin J. Long, Calista F. Long and Sean M. Strunk; brothers, Robert (Marjorie) Mains of Lucasville, Donald Mains of Peebles, Harold (Carol) Mains of Portsmouth, and a sister, Linda (Charles) Jordan of Montgomery, Alabama; sister-in-law, Phyllis Long Mains of West Portsmouth, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services were held with interment at Garvin Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Otway Christian Union Church in Jeanette's name.
Arrangements were directed by Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Otway.
