      Mrs. Emily Watson, wife of Benjamin Watson, died Feb. 10, 1884. Mrs. Watson was born in Nicholas County W. V., Jan 24, 1810, and consequently was in the 75th year of her age. Her maiden name was Jones, and she was married to Benj. Watson in the year 1829, and soon after marriage they moved to Brown County, Ohio, where they lived happily until the time of her death. She united with the M. E. Church in her childhood, where she held her membership until her death. She was the mother of 11 children, 8 of whom survive to mourn her loss. Mrs. Watson was a loving wife, indulgent mother and kind neighbor, and was loved by all who knew her. She suffered intensely with that dread disease consumption. Her mortal remains were interred in Eden Cemetery.
